Product Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Product Manager position is responsible for managing specific portfolios within Mativ at the New Berlin location under the Protective Solutions segment. This positions' primary responsibilities include product marketing and product management of their assigned groupings, or special projects, through vendor relations, insight-based strategies that increase profitability and enable a product pipeline that delivers on the unmet needs of the market.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement dynamic market strategies implementing specific competitors, accounts and suppliers.
• Vendor relations, contract and pricing negotiations
• Develop a team marketing approach with key suppliers to maximize the utilization of their resources of facilitate communication on pricing, new products, and sales programs.
• Determine resource requirements (personnel, capital) for individual) projects
• Determine price positioning within given products and/or segments
• Act as a liaison to all departments to promote new product/market development and resolve conflicts that may impede progress
• Call on customers with Field Sales Representatives to assist in sales penetration, provide technical assistance and present new products and obtain market information.
• Negotiate sales agreements and contracts with distributors, retailers, OEMs.
• Obtain information on competition and market intelligence
• Drive new product/marketing development planning or targeted products.
• Product launches
• Road mapping
• OEM relations
• New/adjacent market vertical research and prospecting
• Special assigned projects
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree required, marketing degree preferred.
• 3-5 years' experience required in product management, marketing, industry experience, or similar role.
• Microsoft Office Suite required
• Adobe Creative Suite preferred
• Business Presentation Skills
• Ability to perform quantitative analysis and projections
• Timely completion of complex tasks under minimal supervision
