Childcare Teacher

Childcare Teachers are responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment where young children can grow spiritually, emotionally, socially, and academically.

• Create a loving, secure, and engaging classroom environment grounded in biblical principles
• Teach age-appropriate lessons that support early childhood development and introduce foundational Christian truths
• Integrate prayer, Bible stories, worship songs, and Christian values into daily routines and activities
• Supervise and care for children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being
• Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
• Maintain classroom order, cleanliness, and organization
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with parents/guardians regarding children’s progress and needs
• Observe and document children’s growth and development as required
• Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and leadership to support program goals
• Follow all childcare policies, regulations, and health and safety procedures
• Serve as a positive Christian role model through words, actions, and attitudes

• A personal commitment to Jesus Christ and agreement with the mission and beliefs of Blessed Savior childcare program
• Experience working with young children (formal education or childcare setting preferred)
• Basic understanding of child development and age-appropriate practices
• Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a ministry-focused team
• CPR/First Aid certification (required)
• Background check clearance as required by state and organizational policies
• Ability to lift and carry children (up to required weight limits)
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and engage in active play throughout the day
