What You’ll Do

As an Assistant Teacher
, you’ll help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, and grow.

Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with daily classroom activities and lesson plans
  • Support the Lead Teacher with engaging, age‑appropriate learning experiences
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, structured, and positive classroom environment
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow teachers
  • Communicate professionally with parents, children, and team members
  • Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
  • Provide patience, encouragement, and empathy when responding to children’s needs
  • Help establish and reinforce age‑appropriate classroom expectations
  • Assist with documenting children’s development and progress
  • Use classroom technology as needed to support documentation and communication
  • Participate in classroom activities, special events, and school programs
  • Bring creativity, energy, and enthusiasm to the classroom every day
  • Learn from experienced educators and continue developing your teaching skills
  • Work toward growing into a Lead Teacher role
What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is positive, dependable, patient, and passionate about working with children
.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to meet applicable state childcare licensing requirements
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast‑paced classroom environment
  • Willingness to learn and grow professionally
  • Genuine interest in early childhood education and child development

Previous childcare, preschool, daycare, babysitting, teaching, camp, or youth‑program experience is a plus!
