What You’ll DoAs an Assistant Teacher
, you’ll help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, and grow.
Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:
- Assist with daily classroom activities and lesson plans
- Support the Lead Teacher with engaging, age‑appropriate learning experiences
- Help maintain a safe, clean, structured, and positive classroom environment
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow teachers
- Communicate professionally with parents, children, and team members
- Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Provide patience, encouragement, and empathy when responding to children’s needs
- Help establish and reinforce age‑appropriate classroom expectations
- Assist with documenting children’s development and progress
- Use classroom technology as needed to support documentation and communication
- Participate in classroom activities, special events, and school programs
- Bring creativity, energy, and enthusiasm to the classroom every day
- Learn from experienced educators and continue developing your teaching skills
- Work toward growing into a Lead Teacher role
We’re looking for someone who is positive, dependable, patient, and passionate about working with children

Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to meet applicable state childcare licensing requirements
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
- Flexible and adaptable in a fast‑paced classroom environment
- Willingness to learn and grow professionally
- Genuine interest in early childhood education and child development
Previous childcare, preschool, daycare, babysitting, teaching, camp, or youth‑program experience is a plus!
