Engineering Test Technician

The Fountain Group is currently seeking an Engineering Test Technician for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in New Berlin, WI
. Details for the position are as follows:

Pay Rate: $40-43/hr

Duration: 12 months (Strong possibility for extension/conversion based on performance and budget)

• Support design engineers with development activities, including component evaluation, prototype assembly, and product verification testing, specifically for VFDs.
• Execute product and prototype testing in accordance with approved test specifications, standards, and procedures; analyze results to confirm compliance with performance requirements.
• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate and complete test reports, data records, and documentation.
• Perform safety and EMC certification testing in accordance with UL, CSA, and IEC standards and generate formal reports for submission to third-party certification agencies.

• Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience; or
• Bachelor s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
• Requires working knowledge of variable frequency drive (VFD) design and operation.
• Must have proficiency in operating laboratory test equipment to obtain accurate measurements and interpret results effectively.
• Hands-on experience performing UL, CSA, and IEC compliance testing, particularly for drive (VFD) products.
