Veterinary Receptionist

New Berlin Animal Hospital is looking to hire a part-time Veterinary Receptionist to join our fast-paced team. Our 4-doctor AAHA-accredited practice specializes in both small animals and exotics. We are proud of the care we provide for our clients and their pets and look to our receptionists to provide a positive experience for them. This position requires a high level of multitasking and attention to detail.

An ideal applicant is friendly, with a positive attitude and outstanding communication skills. Being able to work as a team player, with compassion and professionalism, is essential. Strong computer skills and previous animal experience are a plus. Previous customer service experience is preferred.

• Provide customer service such as greeting customers, answering questions, processing incoming patients, and handling payments
• Answer phone calls which may include answering questions, scheduling appointments, and recording messages for doctors and staff
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail and email
• Update and file patient charts
• Enter data into computerized billing program
• Retrieve prescriptions
• Assist with pet supply purchases such as food, supplements, and grooming items
• Maintain the cleanliness of waiting room
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stoop, bend, and stand on feet for long periods
