MyPath is seeking a strategic, hands‑on Controller to lead and elevate the accounting function across our growing, multi‑entity organization. This executive‑level role partners closely with the CFO and senior leadership to ensure financial integrity, operational excellence, and long‑term sustainability.
This is more than a compliance role. The Controller will drive financial reporting, lead audits, oversee fixed assets and lease accounting, and play a critical role in supporting our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). You will lead a strong accounting team while building scalable systems to support continued growth.

What You’ll Do- Lead accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and revenue cycle operations across MyPath and its operating units
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (entity‑level and consolidated)
- Present financial results to executive leadership and support reporting to banks, board of directors, and ESOP trustee
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Serve as primary liaison to external auditors
- Direct annual financial audits and coordinate preparation of audit schedules and work papers
- Oversee preparation and submission of required governmental compliance reports
- Respond to financial inquiries and government notices
- Oversee accounting and depreciation of fixed assets
- Direct lease accounting and ensure compliance with reporting standards
- Monitor equipment, vehicle, and real estate lease activity including renewals and buyouts
- Serve as an active member of the ESOP Administrative Committee
- Complete annual accounting procedures for the ESOP trust
- Support stock valuation process and repurchase obligation forecasting
- Partner cross‑functionally to maintain ESOP tracking systems
- Lead and develop the Accounting team, including AP, Payroll, Revenue Cycle, and Staff Accountants
- Provide coaching, performance management, and professional development
- Monitor department operations and identify process improvements
- Ensure policies and procedures remain current and effective
- Required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Master’s Degree preferred
. - Required active CPA license in good standing.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including financial statement preparation
- Required 5+ years of supervisory leadership experience
- Workday experience is a plus
- Strong audit experience and deep understanding of internal controls
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and automated accounting systems
- Ability to lead through complexity while maintaining accuracy and composure
- Executive‑level visibility and partnership with the CFO
