The Automation & AI Analyst is responsible for supporting the development and deployment of automation and AI-enabled solutions in a global manufacturing and distribution environment. This position works closely with business teams to understand operational workflows, identify opportunities for automation, and build scalable bots, agents and intelligent process improvements.

This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to grow technical skills while delivering practical business value through process automation and emerging AI technologies.

Responsibilities:

Process Walkthroughs and Business Partnership

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand current processes, pain points, and automation opportunities.
  • Conduct process walkthroughs and document workflows, requirements, and improvement areas.
  • Translate operational needs into clear functional specifications for automation development.
  • Support process redesign efforts that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

Automation and AI Development

  • Develop, test, and deploy RPA bots to automate repetitive business tasks across departments.
  • Support the full automation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, build, documentation, and deployment.
  • Assist with enhancements, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of existing automations.
  • Work with enterprise systems, data sources, and business applications to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Assist with implementation of AI-enabled tools such as intelligent document processing, workflow copilots, or classification solutions.
  • Support responsible deployment of AI solutions into real business workflows.
  • Monitor performance, analyze results, and contribute to continuous improvement of AI and automation initiatives.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

  • Demonstrate ambition and capability to grow within the organization by taking on increasing responsibility and technical ownership.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Provide end-user support and assist with training and adoption of automation tools.
  • Develop and maintain documentation supporting change control, training, and knowledge transfer.
  • Participate in functional testing efforts including regression testing and validation of automation reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exposure to RPA platforms such as UiPath, Power Automate, Automation Anywhere, or similar tools.
  • Awareness and understanding of GenAI tools (e.g., Copilot, Gemini, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to map and clearly document existing business processes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, or ERP‑driven environments. 1–3 years work experience.
  • Interest or experience in AI tools such as IDP, chatbots, or low‑code workflow automation tools (N8N, etc.)
  • Experience working with APIs, databases, or cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
