The Role
We are partnering with a global organization in the electrical manufacturing and infrastructure solutions space to hire an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager. This organization designs and delivers high-performance solutions that connect and protect critical equipment, buildings, and systems across industries worldwide.
This role is responsible for leading the strategy, implementation, and ongoing operations of enterprise infrastructure in a complex, global environment. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership experience, and a proactive approach to driving innovation, security, and operational excellence.
Job DescriptionThe IT Infrastructure Manager will oversee core infrastructure systems and lead a high-performing team responsible for ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across global operations. This individual will play a key role in modernizing infrastructure and supporting business growth through strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and develop an infrastructure team, including workload management, technical guidance, and professional development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, improve service delivery, and support business priorities
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and infrastructure-related budgets
- Drive infrastructure initiatives such as system upgrades, cloud migrations, acquisitions integration, and modernization efforts
- Define and execute on the infrastructure roadmap aligned with business goals and emerging technologies
- Oversee core infrastructure including servers, networks, storage, virtualization, and cloud platforms
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to ensure optimal operations
- Standardize infrastructure processes and practices across multiple sites
- Lead vulnerability remediation efforts, including patching and security updates
- Coordinate response to infrastructure-related incidents in partnership with cybersecurity teams
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audits, and regulatory standards
- Maintain and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams, SOPs, and asset inventories
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, including at least 6 years in a leadership or management role
- Proven success leading enterprise-level infrastructure projects and distributed/global teams
- Strong technical expertise across:
- Server environments (Windows/Active Directory; Linux/Unix exposure preferred)
- End-user computing (Windows devices, virtual desktops, mobile devices, SCCM, Intune)
- Collaboration platforms (Microsoft 365, including Entra , Teams, SharePoint)
- Networking (LAN/WAN)
- Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V)
- Cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure and/or AWS)
- Storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
- Knowledge of IT security best practices, vulnerability management, and compliance frameworks
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Experience working in a large, global enterprise environment
- Experience supporting infrastructure across multiple geographic locations and business units
