IT SPECIALIST I - IIIFull Time New Berlin, WI, US
Position SummaryWe are adding an IT Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for a wide range of foundational functions, balancing daily frontline end-user technical support and business systems tracking, infrastructure maintenance, and core ERP operations. The ideal candidate is technically curious, learns quickly, and enjoys working closely with a collaborative team to support real business operations across all three of our branch locations.
Level& Placement
This position will be placed at Level I, II, or III based on your experience and demonstrated capability. We’re not trying to fill a single profile - if you’re the right person, we’ll place you where you fit.
Key Responsibilities End User SupportFirst Point of Contact:
Serve as the primary contact for day‑to‑day technical support and Tier 1 help desk issues across all three branch locations.
Device Lifecycle Management:
Handle hardware setup, deployment, and comprehensive lifecycle management for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
Access Management:
Oversee user account provisioning, system access management, and coordinated onboarding/offboarding workflows.
Communications Support:
Maintain and support the corporate phone system, conference room equipment, and connected communications platforms.
Epicor Eclipse Operations:
Learn and support Epicor Eclipse—our core distribution ERP and the most critical system the IT team manages.
System Troubleshooting:
Handle day‑to‑day Eclipse operations, direct user support, and basic system troubleshooting.
Process Alignment:
Develop a working knowledge of the physical business processes that Eclipse supports across sales, purchasing, warehouse, and accounting.
Logistics Hardware Integration:
Manage warehouse RF‑scanning hardware in close coordination with our warehouse team and external hardware partners.
Asset & Maintenance Tracking:
Handle routine asset tracking, infrastructure documentation, and routine system maintenance.
Managed Services Liaison:
Act as the first point of contact with our managed services partner on infrastructure, network, and security matters before escalation.
Knowledge Base Development:
Actively contribute to process documentation and the long‑term development of the internal team knowledge base.
Required:
Foundation in IT: A solid foundation in IT support, hardware, or systems administration achieved through work experience, education, or both.
Technical Versatility:
Comfort working across a variety of technologies without needing deep, immediate expertise in all of them.
Reliable Communication:
Proven ability to follow through reliably and communicate clearly within a tight‑knit team environment.
Adaptability:
Demonstrated ability to adapt well in a hands‑on environment where priorities shift day to day.
Business Orientation: A genuine interest in how ERP software and technology systems support real‑world business operations, not just the technical layer.
Preferred but not required:ERP
Experience:
Prior experience utilizing or supporting Epicor Eclipse or any alternative business operations enterprise software.
Industry Background: A professional background or familiarity with distribution, manufacturing, or wholesale industry environments.
Ecosystem Expertise:
Administrative experience with Google Workspace environments.
Logistics Tech:
Familiarity with warehouse technology, mobile RF‑scanning hardware
