The Sr. Manager, Enterprise Applications Development & Integration
, is responsible for leading a team of SAP developers and Mule Soft engineers in a global manufacturing and distribution environment. This position requires deep expertise in SAP (ECC and/or S/4), with a proven track record of building and managing enterprise-wide systems. Working cross-functionally, this role helps drive business improvements by optimizing system integrations, managing third-party technology providers, and delivering strategic value to stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management
- Lead and develop a team of SAP developers and Mule Soft engineers.
- Demonstrate ambition and capability to grow as a leader within the organization, taking on increased responsibilities and strategic initiatives.
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement through mentorship and professional development.
- Manage resource allocation, performance goals, and team development plans.
SAP Development and System Integration
- Build, manage, and optimize the complete lifecycle of SAP developments and integrations with core enterprise applications including web platforms, Product Information Management systems, Logistics systems, CRM systems, EDI solutions, and other non-SAP tools.
- Plan, implement, and support SAP integration solutions and middleware for on-premises, cloud, and hybrid scenarios.
- Lead complex, technical SAP projects from requirements gathering through implementation, including business value assessment, prioritization, risk management, and timeline execution.
- Research, analyze, document, test, and implement SAP changes in both ECC and S/4
HANA environments. - Develop functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Manage software upgrades and implementations with minimal business disruption.
- Experience with add-on implementations and onboarding of new business units to the SAP global platform.
Business Partnership and Solutions Design
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand processes and requirements, suggest innovative solutions, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Provide business system analysis and process redesign expertise to support organizational objectives.
- Understand SAP master data integrity, information flow processes, and architecture structure across global implementations.
- Develop comprehensive documentation supporting change control, training, and change management activities.
Third-Party Provider Management
- Manage and integrate third-party technology providers into daily work streams, ensuring seamless collaboration and value delivery.
- Evaluate, select, and oversee external consultants and vendors for SAP-related initiatives.
- Negotiate and manage contracts, deliverables, and service level agreements with technology partners.
- Guide cross-functional global teams to improve systems and processes, drive productivity, and generate savings or revenue initiatives.
- Understand, utilize and promote continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficient with Project Management tools and concepts.
Functional Testing & Support
- Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies including regression and negative testing across a global SAP landscape.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Solutions team members on implementation strategies that minimize end-user disruption.
- Provide end-user support, coach team members, and lead knowledge exchange initiatives.
- Analyze large datasets and create visualizations to support data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 8-10 years of technical SAP experience in a global instance of SAP ECC 6.0 or higher with demonstrated S/4
