2nd Shift/Full-Time:
Monday through Thursday, 3:15pm to 1:15am
Minimal experience - WILL TRAIN starting at $19.00 per hour
Experienced operators starting around $23.50 to $28.00 per hour plus $1.00 shift differential for working 2nd shift.
SummarySet up, adjust and operate computer-controlled laser cutting machine to produce parts from sheet stock in accordance with instructions.
Essential duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Load nest programs and assure proper cutting parameters for material
- Set and align machine for cutting operation.
- Select, install, and replace proper consumables as required
- Assure nozzle centering, standoff calibration as required
- Make minor changes to cutting parameters as material cutting conditions change, document those changes
- May make simple adjustments to programs as authorized.
- Perform daily maintenance functions as required.
- Identify parts with correct shop and part number.
- Use a variety of precision measuring equipment.
- Mark remnant material appropriately
- Perform subsequent operations as required, such as drilling, reaming, tapping, etc.
- Clean and deburr parts as required prior to releasing parts to the next operation.
- Work from drawings, cutting orders (programs), and specifications. Make simple adjustments to programs as authorized.
- Work subject to first piece and final inspection. Use calipers, tape measures, squares, other various gages.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED, HSED)
