Position: Assembler- 1st Shift- Flexible Hours

Job Summary

The Assembler I will produce high‑quality constructed metal or soft products per customer specifications. The material and product to be constructed will vary by department.

Key Position Activities
  • Read and interpret job cards for information specifications.
  • Operate and/or utilize equipment to produce products that meet the dimensions required for the accuracy of parts and product quality.
  • Assemble, troubleshoot, and test product.
  • Multitask to perform other duties assigned by the Team Lead or Supervisor.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Work in a safe and courteous manner.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions to assemble custom products.
  • Assemble components using a variety of materials, machinery, and hand tools as needed.
  • Follow established procedures to ensure product quality and adherence to customer specifications.
  • Conduct visual inspections and quality checks during the assembly process to identify and address any defects or discrepancies.
  • Report any issues or deviations from specifications per protocol.
  • Collaborate with Team Lead, Supervisors, and other department management and team members to understand customer requirements and provide feedback on product assembly.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, procedures, and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Maintain and clean tools and equipment regularly to ensure optimal functionality and longevity.
  • Support production by performing work in any/all areas within the department to ensure the team meets/exceeds the department’s metrics for SAFETY, QUALITY, DELIVERY, COST, and INVENTORY.
  • Follow all work instructions and Lean practices.
  • Follow all company policies, rules, and regulations.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Ability to read a ruler and tape measure.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
