Inventory Specialist

Description We are looking for an Inventory Specialist to join our team in New Berlin, Wisconsin. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a critical role in overseeing inventory processes, ensuring the accurate tracking and reporting of materials, and supporting production activities. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment while developing your skills.

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate daily inventory tasks, including pulling and staging batches to meet production requirements.

- Collaborate with production planning teams to ensure accurate material handling and support operational needs.

- Analyze batch tickets and inventory tracking documents to report material consumption and finished goods yields.

- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and making necessary adjustments.

- Perform internal material transfers and generate detailed inventory reports to maintain accurate records.

- Conduct routine cycle counts for inventory items, including daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly checks.

- Assist in managing obsolete materials and products, ensuring proper transactions and dispositions.

- Provide backup support for Inventory Specialist duties at other plant locations as needed.

- Take ownership of special projects and explore opportunities to enhance inventory processes. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management or related roles.

- Proficiency in inventory tracking systems and tools.

- Strong understanding of assembly line processes and material handling.

- Familiarity with conducting annual physical inventory and cycle counts.

- Ability to interpret and analyze inventory tracking documents and batch tickets.

- Excellent problem-solving skills to address discrepancies and optimize processes.

- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
