Material Handler, Forklift Operator, Warehouse Associate
Summary
The Material Handler works with, coordinates, stages, organizes, and documents the flow of materials in all stages of production (RAW, WIP, FG). This includes assisting with all material supply and any other operational areas as needed.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
Support Production- Staging materials and supplies in accordance with batch instructions
- Ensure items, lots, and quantities are pulled, scanned, or reported in the ERP system
- Pull and load warehouse transfers to other plants and locations
- Organize Work‑in‑Process (WIP) items for operators at workstations
- Return unused materials/supplies from production to appropriate bin locations in Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Wrapping & Palletizing
- Labeling to customer specifications
- Storing in Finished Goods Warehouse using First‑In, First‑Out (FIFO) and documenting location in WMS
- Pull partial Finished Goods pallets to production for completion
- Follow and adhere to the process for Quality Holds
- Perform 5S activities by keeping work areas, facility, and warehouses clean and organized
- Perform daily cycle counts as instructed
- Support shipping and receiving as directed
- Other duties as required
- Perform essential job functions satisfactorily
- Maintain consistent state of alertness and safety in performing job functions

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One‑year related experience
- Ability to pass a forklift operator course and be certified to drive a forklift
- Other education and experience combinations that are equivalent or exceed the above standard
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Results‑driven with good work ethic
- Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to prioritize tasks and shift between them quickly
- Previous operations or warehouse experience desired
The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and use hands to handle objects or controls. They must occasionally stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders and lift and/or manually move up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 100 pounds occasionally. The employee must possess adequate vision for close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

- Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form; deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations
- Operate various tools and equipment, including a computer, hoist, hand truck, and small hand tools
- Computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Tropos, and Warehouse Management System (WMS) preferred
