Laser Operator

Overview

Position Title: Laser Operator
Wage: Up to $23.50/hour to start + $1.00 shift differential
Shift: 2nd
Location: New Berlin, WI

• Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines to cut metal materials according to specifications.
• Interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Adjust machine settings (speed, power, focus, etc.) for optimal performance and quality.
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy, dimensions, and defects.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel to meet production goals.

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience operating laser cutting or CNC equipment (preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with CNC programming (a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift up to 15-50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills.
• Preferred experience with sheet metal fabrication.
• Preferred knowledge of metal types and thicknesses (steel, aluminum, stainless steel, etc.).
• Preferred familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
• Preferred forklift or material handling experience.
