This position reports to the Smart Process Design Manager and is located in New Berlin, WI. The work model is onsite.
Digital CAD Specialist is responsible for the design, documentation, and standardization of mechanical systems and components used in production equipment and plant layouts. The role supports manufacturing operations by creating detailed CAD models, maintaining fixture and assembly records, and developing engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOMs). The specialist plays a key role in ensuring design consistency, manufacturability, and alignment with operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical components and production equipment.
- Create and maintain plant layout CAD drawings.
- Manage fixture and assembly numbers and ensure traceability.
- Generate and maintain accurate engineering drawings and BOMs.
- Support standardization of mechanical designs across equipment platforms.
- Immersed in modern manufacturing processes.
- 4+ years of CAD design experience, preferably with Solid Works.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, process standardization, and mechanical design.
- Passionate about driving change through innovation and collaboration.
- 2‑year technical degree in manufacturing or a related field.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- American citizen or currently holding a US visa/work permit.
