Job Summary

Location:

New Berlin, MN

Shift: 2nd Shift (2:00 pm – 10:00 pm)

Schedule:

Full‑time, Monday–Friday

Pay: $21.00 per hour plus a $0.50 shift differential

Your Role in Our Mission

Perform a variety of assembly operations to produce and assemble seating and positioning equipment according to specifications and quality standards using powered equipment and adhesives.

Read and follow work‑order specifications via Electronic Distribution of Orders (EDO) and hard copies to build and assemble quality parts accurately and on time.

Work from bill of materials, drawings, and specifications; use a range of measuring instruments and operate equipment such as a band saw, grinder, T‑nut machine, drill press, portable power tools, and glue gun.

Locate required materials, monitor stock quantities, report stock outs via EDO, and turn in Kanban cards to the purchasing group.

Confer and correspond with purchasing to resolve damages or shortages; process material substitutions or inventory adjustments.

Assist other fabrication departments to ensure on‑time completion, including foam cutting, gel pack addition, and related tasks.

Follow all safety, work rules, ISO procedures, lean initiatives, and lean events; maintain the Kanban system and participate in cycle counts.

Recognize and communicate defective parts and maintain quality service by meeting or exceeding all performance metrics (quality, accuracy, timeliness, thoroughness).

Contribute to team effort with a good attendance record and on‑call responsibilities.

Maintain technical knowledge and emphasize continuous improvement and efficiency.

What You’ll Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior manufacturing experience.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including metric conversions.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and understand detailed instructions in English.
  • Familiarity with portable power tools such as a drill, band saw, and grinder.
  • Good oral and written communication skills for interacting with employees and supervisors.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Problem‑solving mindset; collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Basic computer knowledge and ability to navigate company portals.
  • Capacity to handle multiple projects and thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
Pay Transparency & Benefits

The expected pay range for this role is $21.00 per hour plus a $0.50 shift differential. Final compensation will depend on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity.
