Warehouse/Shipping Lead person

Warehouse/Shipping Lead person has the ability to carry out all distribution duties. Order Pulling, Stocking, Training, Routing, and arranging work flow for employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities to which competency will be measured include the following:

• Must have good leadership and communication skills.
• Must be able to perform assigned duties with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to use common sense to solve problems.
• Ability to coordinate workflow of orders from beginning to end.
• Ability to operate AS400 in all functions. (Date Entry, Labels, and Location Maintenance)
• Ability to check in and stock imported product.
• Ability to identify and match product numbers from Pick slip(s) with cartons in location.
• Ability to pull product from location in a timely manner. (2.00 minutes a line item)
• Ability to use above average mathematical skills to pull correct quantity from location.
• Ability to use overhead crane to correctly pull large diameter valves of iron and cast steel.
• Ability to weight, wrap and route LTL freight.
• Ability to verify product from pick slip with product on pallet and package into small parcel shipment(s).
• Ability to package and ship small parcel shipments.
• Ability to stock domestic product correctly.
• Ability to use all company lift trucks correctly and safely.
• Ability to enter and retrieve data from the computer system.
• Have above average handwriting skills.
• Must be able to work at heights of 16' to 20'.
• Must be able to consistently bend and lift packages weighing on average 50lb.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to handle a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to self-motivate.
• Maintain cleanliness in a prescribed manner.
• An opening must exist at this level.
