A well-established and growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Quality Manager to lead quality and food safety initiatives at its Wisconsin facility. This role reports directly to senior quality leadership and offers the opportunity to drive continuous improvement, support customer satisfaction, and strengthen quality systems across the operation. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing quality experience, a passion for problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate effectively across operations, engineering, customer service, and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions utilizing 8D and other structured problem-solving methodologies
- Serve as a primary customer quality contact, addressing quality concerns, corrective actions, and continuous improvement opportunities
- Support and participate in internal, customer, and third-party audits
- Analyze quality and food safety performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement
- Maintain and support food safety systems, including HACCP plans, prerequisite programs, and related policies
- Assist with new product and process launches through risk assessments, FMEAs, and feasibility reviews
- Partner cross-functionally to reduce defects, improve processes, and enhance overall product quality
- Ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations
- Lead, mentor, and develop quality personnel while promoting accountability and continuous improvement
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Quality, Food Science, or a related field
- 3+ years of quality leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience in packaging, plastics, food-contact manufacturing, or other regulated industries is preferred
- Strong knowledge of 8D problem solving, DOE, statistical analysis, and root cause methodologies
- Experience utilizing SPC and other statistical quality tools
- Familiarity with FSSC 22000, GFSI, or similar food safety standards is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
Compensation ranges from $110,000-$125,000 Competitive compensation package including:
