Heartland Paving Partners is seeking a driven, organized, and tech-savvy Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing team. Working out of our Poblocki Paving office in the Milwaukee area, you will work closely with our Senior Business Development Lead to qualify, manage, and route incoming sales leads.

This is an ideal role for an early-career sales or business development professional who thrives on the phone, excels at quick and reliable follow-up, and wants a clear path to grow into a senior business development role within the commercial paving industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead

    Qualification:

    Conduct outbound phone calls and follow-ups with incoming leads generated by marketing initiatives to evaluate fit against business unit criteria.
  • Lead Tracking & Routing: Manage, track, and assign qualified leads to the appropriate business units using Hub Spot CRM
    .
  • Sales

    Collaboration:

    Partner directly with the Senior Business Development Lead to support deal pipeline velocity and maintain accurate lead status reports.
  • Prospect Communication: Serve as a warm, professional first point of contact for potential commercial clients, gathering key project details and establishing rapport.
  • Process & CRM Maintenance: Ensure strict data hygiene and timely activity logging in Hub Spot so no lead falls through the cracks.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: 0–3 years of experience in sales support, lead generation, customer service, or account coordination (commercial construction/services background is a plus, but not required).
  • Communication

    Skills:

    Professional, confident telephone presence and strong verbal/written communication skills.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable working daily in CRM platforms (
    Hub Spot experience preferred
    ) and modern workplace software.
  • Organization & Follow-Up: Exceptional attention to detail with a disciplined, proactive approach to following up on warm leads.
  • Location: Based in or near the Greater Milwaukee area with the ability to work in the office multiple days per week.
