Insulation Installer
This role focuses on installing fiberglass or rock wool batt insulation in exterior walls, ceilings, attics, and crawlspaces for a variety of residential or commercial projects. You will work on different job sites, using a consistent installation process while adapting to changing environments and conditions. The position requires hands-on construction skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a crew.
Responsibilities- Load and log insulation materials and related supplies onto trucks at the start of each job.
- Transport materials safely to job sites and ensure they are organized and ready for installation.
- Erect scaffolding, ladders, or other access equipment to the required height in a safe and secure manner.
- Measure and cut insulation materials to the correct size based on frames, ceilings, attics, or crawlspace dimensions.
- Install fiberglass or rock wool batts in exterior walls, ceilings, attics, and crawlspaces according to project specifications.
- Install insulation materials by stapling, gluing, wiring, nailing, or using equipment that injects loose-fill or foamed insulation.
- Operate spray guns and other insulation application tools safely and efficiently.
- Use hand tools and power tools, including saws and drills, to prepare and install insulation components.
- Drive a company vehicle when required, following all driving rules and Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). the cleanliness, organization, and basic maintenance of assigned tools, equipment, and company vehicle.
- Observe and follow all job site safety rules, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Know the location of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) or Safety Data Sheets (SDS) packets in the vehicle and reference them as needed.
- Work in indoor and outdoor environments, including at heights or in confined spaces, as required by each project.
- Collaborate with other trades and crew members on site to ensure efficient and high-quality project completion.
- Construction site experience, preferably in insulation or related trades such as carpentry, roofing, or masonry.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools, including saws and drills.
- Ability to install fiberglass or rock wool insulation in exterior walls, ceilings, attics, and crawlspaces.
- Capability to operate spray guns and other insulation application equipment safely.
- Willingness and ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments in varying conditions.
- Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces as required by the project.
- Strong commitment to job site safety practices and adherence to safety rules.
- Ability to follow instructions, read and interpret basic measurements, and complete tasks with attention to detail.
- Valid driving capability to operate a company vehicle when required, with adherence to all driving and DOT regulations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous insulation installation experience is a strong plus.
- Experience in related trades such as carpentry, roofing, or masonry.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is a plus.
- Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
- Familiarity with spray application methods and loose-fill or foamed insulation systems.
- Experience with interior work such as painting or finishing is beneficial.
