The Master Electrician supports the operations with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment and parts. Primary focus on new construction and installation of manufacturing equipment. This position requires extensive knowledge of electrical components as well as electrical safety codes and regulations.
Job Duties &Essential Functions:

- Ability to understand and comply with Safety procedures and practices and NFPA 70e and NEC codes.
- Designing and executing plans for electrical wiring, services to new and existing equipment and support of projects in the facility.
- Responsible for complex troubleshooting of industrial electrical and electronic systems including CNCs, Robotics, vision systems, labelers, palletizers, leak detector systems, temperature controllers, servo motors, HMI's, and PLCs in a fast-paced manufacturing facility to determine mechanical or electrical failure.
- Qualified and competent in working on electrical systems up to 480v.
- Interpret prints of machine assemblies and wiring diagrams (European drawings).
- Utilize Microsoft Office and computerized Maintenance Management System.
- Installs, examines, replaces, or repairs electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and/or other electrical components.
- Tests electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
- Maintains, repairs, installs, and tests switch gear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors.
- Maintains, repairs, tests, and installs electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
- Troubleshoots, maintains and repairs industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devices.
- May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices as required.
- Assist with mechanical and electrical improvement to plant and equipment.
- Implement and conduct preventive maintenance programs and keeps accurate maintenance records.
- Assist and train production employees in proper operation and maintenance of machinery based upon electrical knowledge and abilities.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns onsite as needed.
- Compliance to GMP, Food Safety, and Food Quality regulations as required by the company, customers, and/or government agencies.
High school diploma or GED. Licensed Industrial Journeyman Electrician Formal NFPA 70E training Minimum of 1-2 years of related experience Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment. Awareness of national, state, and local electrical codes and regulations. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Highly motivated self-starter with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and problem solve malfunctions. Ability to work as a team member or alone to complete projects.
Availability and willingness to work shift, on call, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed. Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents. Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lift heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling, etc. Blow molding machine knowledge is a plus. Limited travel may be required.
