SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Master Electrician supports the operations with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment and parts. Primary focus on new construction and installation of manufacturing equipment. This position requires extensive knowledge of electrical components as well as electrical safety codes and regulations.

JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ability to understand and comply with Safety procedures and practices and NFPA 70e and NEC codes.
• Designing and executing plans for electrical wiring, services to new and existing equipment and support of projects in the facility.
• Responsible for complex troubleshooting of industrial electrical and electronic systems including CNCs, Robotics, vision systems, labelers, palletizers, leak detector systems, temperature controllers, servo motors, HMI's, and PLCs in a fast-paced manufacturing facility to determine mechanical or electrical failure.
• Qualified and competent in working on electrical systems up to 480v.
• Interpret prints of machine assemblies and wiring diagrams (European drawings).
• Utilize Microsoft Office and computerized Maintenance Management System.
• Installs, examines, replaces, or repairs electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, fibre-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and/or other electrical components.
• Tests electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
• Maintains, repairs, installs, and tests switch gear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors.
• Maintains, repairs, installs, and tests electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
