Tool Repair Technician
As a Tool Repair Technician, you will be at the forefront of our repair process. You will work collaboratively within a team environment, focusing on tool inspection, repair, and maintenance. This role requires regular interaction with customers and effective communication across departments to ensure timely and quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect tools and equipment for defects or signs of damage
- Disassemble tools, diagnose issues, and identify faulty components
Repair, Quality, and Calibration
- Perform repairs on various power tools and hoists
- Replace defective parts, including motors, gears, and electrical components
- Reassemble and test tools to ensure proper functionality
- Clean tools and conduct quality checks to uphold safety and durability standards
- Perform ISO/IEC 17025:2017 calibrations
Customer Communication
- Interact professionally with customers to provide updates and gather repair-related information
ERP Data Entry
- Accurately enter repair information into the ERP system
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Solid knowledge of tool mechanics and repair procedures
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair machinery
- Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills, including experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- 1–2 years of technical experience maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment preferred
Preferred Experience with the following tool types:
- Pneumatic tools
- Transducer-controlled tools
- Controllers
- Battery tools (transducerized, clutch, etc.)
- ADE systems
- Hoists
Skills and Competencies
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under deadlines
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
Compensation
- Compensation and position level will be based on experience.
