Job Title
2 days in office/week, depending on field requirements for outages and break-fix Position will involve a significant amount of driving in the field Targeted Years of
Experience:
5-7 years
• Responsible for the installation, monitoring, testing of telecommunications and associated transport equipment per specifications and operational procedures
• Performs testing and diagnostic procedures on equipment according to published equipment standards to include Physical Layer and Logical Layer platforms
• Maps, grow, and/or tests transmission equipment Flash Wave, Nortel Classic, Digital Cross Connect, etc.
• Map routers, bridges, multiplexers, concentrators, etc.
• Create or perform migrations to new and existing Carriers such as PVC/EVC;s on Various routers; utilizes remote test systems to isolate and resolve continuity problems
• Coordinates the test and turn up of service with all involved providers until the customer’s service is up and working
