Pay: $19.00/hour + $0.50 shift differential
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Key Tasks- Prepare items for shipment in accordance with shipping practices and requirements. Process orders to be shipped, arrange transportation and maintain inventory of shipping materials. Assist with packaging as needed.
- Read, follow and process work orders via Electronic Distribution of Orders (EDO) & order hard copies according to procedures in a timely fashion.
- Needs to process orders through shipping software, have 2 to 3 years experience with UPS, Fed‑x, DHL and know how to fill out bill of ladings for truck shipments and contact carriers for pick up.
- Looking for someone that has worked with international shipments.
- Must have prior knowledge of how to Create proper shipping documents such as, Multibox sheets, Commercial invoices, Shippers letters of instructions, Bill of Laden’s.
- Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping.
- Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Record shipment data, such as weight, and box size for recordkeeping purposes.
- Answer emails and provide accurate shipping quotes for CS/Customers.
- Examine contents and compare with order to verify accuracy of outgoing shipment.
- Pack, seal, and label orders to prepare materials for shipping.
- Communicate with supervisor and customer service problems, such as wrong zip codes, or order discrepancies.
- Request, order and store shipping materials and supplies.
- Follow and comply with all safety, work rules, regulations, ISO procedures, lean Initiatives and lean events.
- Maintain departmental housekeeping standards. Maintain 5’S Program.
- Assist and Cross train in other departments, as needed, to ensure products are completed on time.
- Match products up to complete whole order via EDO’s matching shelf.
- Maintain Kanban System and participate in cycle counts.
- Have good computer skills.
