POSITION SUMMARYThe Warehouse Clerk has the basic responsibility for label control, yard coordination, and administrative functions in support of the entire outbound (Shipping and Picking) operation. The Warehouse Clerk is also responsible for communicating issues to the outbound supervisors in a timely manner. Must have Excel experience and be computer literate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Label Control: Prepare, distribute, and reprint all labels for carton/pallet pickers daily; maintain consistent label flow; track and document all labels given out.
- Yard Coordination: Use Y/WMS system to communicate outbound pulls and plugs to yard drivers daily; assist supervisor to ensure trailers are properly chocked and green light is active before moving or loading.
- Administrative Functions: Complete data entry for shipments; issue seals to loaders; verify accurate information for Bills of Lading (BOLs); schedule LTL carriers for pickup; print work assignments; file paperwork; assist supervisors with downtime sheets; provide professional etiquette communication.
- Safety, Sanitation, Security: Maintain a clean and orderly work area; help maintain warehouse security; secure seals and documents; distribute and collect tools; promote safety; follow OSHA and MSDS standards.
- Safe use of powered equipment, RF scanners, computers, and printers.
- Follow company policies, guidelines, and ISO procedures.
- Exposure to varied environmental conditions (heat, cold, dry, humid, light, dark, dusty).
- Repeated heavy lifting over 25 pounds as needed.
- Repetitive motion: walking, climbing, carrying, standing, sitting, bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, squatting, reaching, pushing, pulling, holding, and grasping.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years’ experience in inventory control or warehousing administration.
- No required certificates, licenses, registrations or professional designations.
- Must work in regulated temperatures within the warehouse during warmer and colder months.
- Computer skills: RF scanners, MS Office applications.
- Mathematical skills: basic to intermediate level to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy; complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
- Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- 1-2 years’ experience in a warehouse/logistics/distribution environment.
- 1-2 years’ experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Occasionally walking and standing.
- Frequently carrying and pushing/pulling.
- Constantly reach above shoulder, squat, or kneel.
The employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level is usually low to moderate.
