Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable, detail-oriented and experienced Accountant/Tax Preparer to join our growing accounting practice. The Accountant/Tax Preparer will be responsible for clients' personal and business tax preparation and compliance and financial statement preparation. This role requires a thorough understanding of tax laws and regulations, strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare and review tax returns, including income, sales, payroll and property tax returns.
- Provide guidance and support to staff on tax-related matters and financial reporting.
- Conduct tax research and analysis to identify tax-saving opportunities.
- Manage tax audits and resolve any tax disputes with authorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Enrolled Agent (EA) or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and planning, compliance, and reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
