Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must have the appropriate state funeral licensure or the ability to reciprocate license from another state
  • High level of integrity, dedication, and desire to succeed
  • Proficient with computers and technology with knowledge of MS Office Tools
  • Desire to help others and earn a competitive income
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
  • Creative, outgoing, and energetic
  • Solid work history
  • May require insurance license

This position may require the associate to obtain and maintain an insurance license in any state in which he/she conducts sales. To obtain the insurance license, the candidate must meet the requirements of a background check process which includes, but is not limited to, a criminal history and credit check.

What you will be doing Lead Generation
  • Hold self-accountable for prospecting a minimum of 1-2 hours each day
  • Obtain referrals from families served by the location
  • Network and build community and civic relationships
  • Explain and present presentations to families served and referred families
  • Maintain and track activity levels to ensure productivity
Build Relationships with Families
  • Respond to client inquiries in a timely, respectful, sensitive and professional manner
  • Connect with families through listening, honest communication, and genuine concern
  • Develop an understanding of each family’s unique needs and offer solutions that provide value to them
  • Stay in touch with families to ensure satisfaction
  • Prepare for all appointments and perform all procedures with professionalism and attention to detail
  • Follow through on all customer problems and requests
  • Build trust-based relationships to earn the right to ask for referrals
  • Earn the right to gain referrals to offer protection to family members, and the family’s relatives and friends, by educating them on the benefits of pre-planning
Teamwork
  • Represent a continuous link from services provided at need, through aftercare, to providing services to protect families in the future
  • Collaborate and team with funeral directors, location managers, and other members of funeral home and or cemetery staff, to provide seamless, high quality service
  • Thoroughly and completely review previous services and contacts with families to prepare to support current needs and or sales
  • Share family concerns with rest of the SCI team
