New Bern, NC / Full‑time
Your ResponsibilitiesCoordination of Environmental Issues for all of the New Bern, NC facilities in order to provide a clean and healthful environment in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify and provide an Environmental program
- Act as Environmental Management Representative (EMR) for the ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 Systems
- Solve environmental problems such as water and air pollution, waste disposal, and public health issues
- Identify and analyze legal and regulatory requirements
- Facilitate projects that support improving the environmental footprint of site New Bern
- Support product projects with environment expertise and direction
- Assure that the company is in compliance with applicable environmental regulations and laws through inspections/assessment of facilities and programs
- Coordinate and document the disposal of waste and all environmental issues
- Submit obligatory environmental reports to the local legal authority (storm water, wastewater, etc.)
- Support all plants regarding environmental related topics, facilitate training when required
- Administer the required compliance reports to corporate and site management
- Inform site management immediately, through established procedures, of any environmental matters requiring a report to any government agency
- Audit and provide counsel on the environmental performance of each component of the plant and keep management informed through established procedures of such performance
- Assess whether proposed operations, emissions, and emission impacts comply with relevant limitations
- Respond to information inquiries from the public, regulated sources, and government officials
- Provide support to factories regarding carbon footprint reduction initiatives
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Four‑Year College Degree in Environmental Engineering or Related Degree.
RequiredSkills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of Environmental Engineering experience
- Environmental Engineering experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
- Travel Percentage – 10%
- OSHA and EPA guidelines knowledge
- ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certification
- Knowledge of Applicable Federal, State, and local laws, rules, regulations, codes, and/or statutes
- Project management experience – Preferred
- Experience working in a multinational environment
- Ability to handle pressure, interruptions, and meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Team player
- Any of the above requirements/qualifications may be waived for the successful candidate
Pay range: $76,000 - $101,000. Incentive Plan:
Annual Bonus with Target % of 5%.
