Senior Project Manager II, OEM
New Bern, NC / Full-time
Your ResponsibilitiesThe Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the success of the project by meeting agreed upon project deliverables and objectives. The Project Leader will also serve for projects prior to approval of the Project Application in order to ensure these requirements are adequately incorporated into the project. He/ She is responsible for controlling all aspects of the project, including organizing the project teams, fulfillment of project milestones, communication of all relevant information to stakeholders, managing risks and expectations, and ensuring proper project documentation.
- Lead medium complex regional and global product projects for the dedicated product categories in BSH North America.
- Overall planning and management of new product projects with alignment of BSH product development process (PDP), with special focus on project milestones (M0-M8), project/product costs, product quality and meeting the defined time targets.
- Conducting of risk management in projects.
- Controlling and reporting the project status to relevant stakeholders and management (including Project Review Meetings (PRM), Project Jour Fixe, and other Project Meetings).
- Creation of project application requests (PARs) and management through approval process.
- Organization, and management of project teams and administration of project core team meetings.
- Manages overall information flow among internal and external stakeholders (including Development, Business Unit, Product Management, Industrial Design, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Project Controlling).
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Four-Year College (Business Administration/Engineering) – Required
- Certificate (Project Management Certification) – Preferred
- 3-5 Years Experience (Product Management, Product Development, or other departments in a manufacturing environment) – Required
- 3-5 Years Experience (Project management experience) – Required
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Time management and project management skills
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal with the ability to communicate with a wide variety of people up to and including upper management
- Must be able to work well with people in other departments under difficult and sometimes stressful circumstances
- Knowledge of Product Development processes
- Strategic scenario evaluation based on multiple disciplines (Controlling, Engineering, Manufacturing, , etc)
- Project leadership experience
- Experience in Project Management of Product Development projects preferred
- Experience in Product Specification processes
- Proficiency with MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Other BSH Systems (SAP, CMD, PM4U, etc.)
- Travel Percentage – 10%
The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.
