Hire Now Staffing is actively recruiting a seasoned, highly motivated Engineer in Training (EIT) to join one of our valued client partners in New Bern, North Carolina. This is an outstanding opportunity for an emerging engineering professional seeking hands-on experience while working alongside experienced engineers on a variety of engineering projects. The selected candidate will assist with engineering design, technical documentation, project coordination, and field investigations while developing the technical and professional skills needed for long-term engineering success.

• Assist licensed engineers with engineering design, calculations, and technical analysis
• Prepare engineering drawings, plans, specifications, and supporting technical documentation
• Participate in site investigations, field observations, and engineering data collection
• Support project planning, coordination, scheduling, and technical deliverables
• Assist with engineering calculations, reports, and design reviews
• Participate in Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) reviews throughout project execution
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful project completion
• Research applicable engineering standards, codes, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain organized project documentation and engineering records
• Continue professional development while working toward Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or closely related engineering discipline
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or eligibility to obtain EIT certification
• Strong technical aptitude and analytical problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency using CAD software for engineering design and drafting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, plans, and technical specifications
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented engineering environment
• Ability to work onsite in New Bern, North Carolina

• Internship or cooperative education (co-op) experience within civil engineering
• Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar engineering software
• Familiarity with engineering calculations and design documentation
• Experience supporting land development, transportation, municipal, or infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal engineering standards
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality technical work
• Demonstrated desire to pursue Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure

• Compensation: $75,000–$110,000 annually
