This role is critical to protecting company profitability, technician efficiency, and operational excellence across our entire fleet and inventory systems.
Position OverviewThe Inventory Control & Fleet Manager is responsible for enforcing Pro-Serv standards across:
- Company inventory systems
- Technician van stock
- Warehouse organization
- Fleet readiness and compliance
- Asset tracking and accountability
You will own the systems that keep our technicians productive and our company profitable.
If inventory accuracy, organization, and operational discipline matter to you โ this role will fit.
If you prefer reactive environments or loose structure โ it will not.
Core Responsibilities:Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory across all warehouses and service vehicles
- Enforce inventory procedures and SOPs company-wide
- Perform scheduled and random inventory audits
- Track inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions
Ensure parts are properly received, labeled, and tracked - Monitor inventory usage trends and loss prevention
- Work closely with Parts Manager and Operations leadership
- Oversee company fleet across all branches
- Track vehicle maintenance schedules and compliance
- Coordinate repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance
- Monitor vehicle condition, cleanliness, and readiness
- Manage fleet asset tracking and reporting
- Control fuel usage accountability and reporting
- Implement inventory best practices and process improvements
- Maintain reporting dashboards for leadership
- Train technicians and staff on inventory standards
- Ensure company SOPs are followed daily โ not occasionally
- Identify inefficiencies and drive solutions
- Inventory accuracy consistently above 95%
- Reduced parts loss and write-offs
- Organized warehouses and vans
- Technicians have what they need when they need it
- Fleet downtime minimized
- Systems run without leadership chasing problems
- 3+ years inventory, warehouse, fleet, or operations management experience
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- High attention to detail
- Comfortable enforcing standards and accountability
- Experience with inventory software or ERP systems preferred
- Mechanical or service industry experience is a plus
- Valid driverโs license
