Responsibilities
- Material Stocker stores, issues, and moves a variety of materials and products, which includes frequent lifting of boxes (3-45 lbs) off pallets (6 inches off floor to chest level) and/or VGV’s.
- Maintains and verifies actual inventory and materials being handled.
- Supplies parts for a line(s) and transports material through the plant as needed.
- Operates a variety of material handling equipment to move material throughout the plant.
- May disassemble, sort, repair, and salvage a variety of products.
- Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced.
- Assists in training other associates.
- Flexes into the line as needed.
- Accuracy of Inventory record and Quality of work is essential.
- Responsible for a neat, orderly, and safe work area.
- May plan and organize the execution of daily line schedule, including leading cell in team leader’s absence.
- Responsible for identifying and implementing improvement ideas in work area.
- Associate must not have been awarded a job through a posting in the previous six (6) months. (Exceptions to the 6-month time limit may be considered if circumstances beyond the control of the associate caused a shift change or demotion or based on business needs. In addition, associates seeking a higher labor grade may apply without waiting 6 months.)
- Associate must not have been removed from or voluntarily stepped down from the same role in the preceding 6 months.
- Associate can have no written disciplinary warnings within six (6) months of the posting date.
- Associate cannot have less than 17 UTO hours.
- Associate must be able to work 8+ hours per day and 40+ hours per week.
- Associate must meet all the minimum qualifications outlined on the job bid.
- Associates selected will receive the necessary training to perform the requirements of this position, to include processes and computer requirements.
- A 90-day probationary period applies to all job postings.
- Associate submits an application through Smart Recruiters prior to the posting deadline.
- Temporary associates will be eligible to participate in the job bidding procedure. Any temporary associate who is interested can submit a job bid via Smart Recruiters and will be considered for the position. However, a temporary associate cannot be selected until the decision is made not to select a Moen candidate.
- Material Stocker bids are not cell specific. Production Managers will assign based on production requirements.
