Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner / NP / Part Time
We are hiring for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner / NP to provide psychiatric and medical assessment, treatment, and medication management for adults with serious mental illness or substance use diagnosis in a community‑based setting. The role is part of RHA Health Services’ Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) and involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to integrate psychiatric services into overall client treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and perform follow‑up visits for medication evaluation and management.
- Manage psychotropic medications for adult clients with serious mental illness/substance use disorders.
- Participate in regulated supervision and consult with team staff.
- Provide education and training to ACT Team staff on psychiatric assessment and treatment protocols.
- Develop, implement, and supervise medication, psychiatric, and medical treatment policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure integrated psychiatric services within the client’s overall treatment plan.
- Must be a licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
- Certified at the national level by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Familiarity with standards of practice and regulations for this position.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in behavioral health care (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance coverage (condition of employment); vehicle may be required for client transportation.
- Completion of pre‑employment screening: criminal background check, OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities, drug testing, education verification, and other credentialing.
