Education, Licensure, and Experience required for the position include:
Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program     Physical requirements to perform essential functions of the job included:  Regular required to lift 20 lbs. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. Must be able to pull a minimum of 25 lbs. Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop. Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

Required to regularly stand and walk. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing and lifting. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. Must be able to talk and hear.
** Rate of Pay: $36.00-$38.00

We are seeking an outgoing and energetic Licensed Practical Nurse who wants to make a difference in the lives of others.  As a nurse with RHA will have an opportunity to practice holistic nursing and to positively impact the lives of others by providing healthcare oversight and monitoring for the people we serve.

** Job Responsibilities
** As a Licensed Practical Nurse with RHA, you will provide health-related training to the staff and people supported, provide routine nursing assessments, assist with ensuring preventative and routine medical appointments are scheduled, and be an active participant in each individual’s person-centered plan to help them reach their fullest potential.  You will interact with staff at the RHA office as well as in the residential homes.
Additional responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse include:
* Assists RN and professional staff in delivering quality nursing services to persons supported.
* Administers specified medications. Removes expired medications from circulation and access.
* Takes historical information and records persons' supported vital signs.
* Observes person's supported mannerisms and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment as needed.
* Advocates for individuals with IDD
* Participates as an intricate part of the interdisciplinary team for the people we support
** Requirements
* * Our ideal Licensed Practical Nurse has excellent listening and communication skills, can pick up on nonverbal communication and is eager to work on nonstandard nursing assignments.
Additional requirements for the Licensed Practical Nurse include:
* Graduate from an accredited nursing program
* Valid state Licensed Practical Nurse certification
* Experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities preferred
* Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
* Ability to lift between 20 and 50 pounds and provide CPR after certification
* Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
* Ability to remain calm in crisis situations
