Summary

The Sales Counselor is responsible for sales and closing activity that meets or exceeds expectations. The Sales Counselor manages the sales process from initial inquiry to residency through effective representation, negotiation, and promotion of the community to the individual consumer and their influencers.

Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of sales experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Senior living sales experience.
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems, preferably Enquire/Aline.
  • Experience in Life Plan Community (CCRC) sales and marketing.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong closing and relationship‑building skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to effectively present to both small and large groups.
  • Ability to independently manage prospect relationships and sales activities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Essential Functions
  • Meet and exceed established sales and occupancy goals.
  • Conduct prospect outreach and follow‑up activities to generate and maintain leads.
  • Schedule and conduct tours, presentations, and appointments with prospective residents and influencers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the CRM system.
  • Assist with planning and execution of marketing and community outreach events.
  • Communicate effectively with prospects, families, and team members throughout the sales process.
  • Collaborate with community leadership to address prospect concerns and facilitate successful move‑ins.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with depositors and future residents during development phases.
  • Independently negotiate and resolve prospect concerns related to residency decisions.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships to support occupancy goals.
  • Staff the sales office based on operational needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain essential operational presence during emergencies or inclement weather as required.
