The Electrical Controls Technician is responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical and electronic equipment used in a manufacturing environment. This includes automated assembly fixtures, material handling systems, production counting systems, PLCs, robotic systems, servo controls, welding systems, and other electro-mechanical equipment. This role requires strong troubleshooting ability and hands-on industrial controls experience, including Siemens PLC systems.

• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and electronic equipment to resolve issues in a timely manner
• Write, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs
• Troubleshoot HMI functional programs and industrial control systems
• Support and troubleshoot robotic systems and automation equipment
• Build new electronic equipment from schematic designs, including component layout, testing, and debugging
• Program barcode scanners for identification and quality assurance processes
• Apply automation improvements to fixture applications to increase efficiency
• Maintain and update documentation for equipment and machinery
• Prepare documentation for new equipment installations and modifications
• Communicate with OEM support groups when required
• Calibrate instrumentation and testing equipment as needed
• Support continuous improvement and TPM initiatives
• Follow lockout/tagout and all safety procedures
• Analyze and resolve complex maintenance issues with vendors and subcontractors
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Associate degree or Technical Degree in Electronics, Industrial Systems, Electrical Systems, or related field required
• 5–7 years of experience in a technical manufacturing environment required
• MUST have Siemens PLC controls experience (programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance)
• Strong experience with industrial controls and machine troubleshooting
• PLC programming and troubleshooting experience required
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electromechanical systems, and industrial communication systems
• Experience with Simatic Manager, AutoCAD, and electrical/electronic test equipment
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining safety standards

• 7–10 years of manufacturing maintenance or controls experience preferred
• Formal training in Industrial Maintenance or Control Technology
• Experience with robotic systems and advanced automation equipment
• Strong background in factory automation and machine controls
