Collision Center Mechanical Technician
Bluebonnet Collision Center - New Braunfels, TX
Bluebonnet Collision Center is looking for an experienced Automotive Mechanical Technician to join our collision repair team.
What You'll Do- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues resulting from collision damage
- Perform suspension, steering, brake, and drivetrain repairs
- Remove and install engines, transmissions, radiators, cooling system components, and other mechanical parts as needed
- Perform A/C system repairs and related procedures
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical concerns
- Perform pre- and post-repair inspections
- Complete mechanical repairs according to manufacturer repair procedures
- Perform alignments and suspension adjustments when applicable
- Assist with vehicle teardown and reassembly when mechanical components are involved
- Perform scans and assist with diagnostics as required
- Identify additional mechanical damage and communicate findings to the estimator or production team
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
- Previous experience as an automotive mechanical technician
- Collision repair experience is preferred, but not required
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Experience working on late-model vehicles
- Ability to read and follow OEM repair procedures
Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license
- Own basic hand tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Collision-related mechanical repairs
- Suspension and steering systems
- Brake systems
- Cooling systems
- A/C systems
- Electrical diagnostics
- Engine and transmission R&I
- ADAS-related mechanical repairs
- Vehicle scanning and diagnostics
- Wheel alignments
- OEM repair procedures
