Collision Center Mechanical Technician

Bluebonnet Collision Center - New Braunfels, TX

Bluebonnet Collision Center is looking for an experienced Automotive Mechanical Technician to join our collision repair team.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues resulting from collision damage
• Perform suspension, steering, brake, and drivetrain repairs
• Remove and install engines, transmissions, radiators, cooling system components, and other mechanical parts as needed
• Perform A/C system repairs and related procedures
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical concerns
• Perform pre- and post-repair inspections
• Complete mechanical repairs according to manufacturer repair procedures
• Perform alignments and suspension adjustments when applicable
• Assist with vehicle teardown and reassembly when mechanical components are involved
• Perform scans and assist with diagnostics as required
• Identify additional mechanical damage and communicate findings to the estimator or production team
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards

• Previous experience as an automotive mechanical technician
• Collision repair experience is preferred, but not required
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Experience working on late-model vehicles
• Ability to read and follow OEM repair procedures
  
  Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license
• Own basic hand tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Collision-related mechanical repairs

• Brake systems

• A/C systems
• Electrical diagnostics
• Engine and transmission R&I
• ADAS-related mechanical repairs
• Vehicle scanning and diagnostics

• OEM repair procedures
