Job DescriptionLakeside Structures is hiring a Welder / Laborer with3–5 years of hands‑on experience in structural steel construction. This role is for someone who can weld, rig, fit, and work alongside a steel crew in real job site conditions.
Responsibilities- Weld structural steel components (columns, beams, brackets, connections)
- Assist with steel erection, fitting, and bolting
- Read basic shop drawings and field layouts
- Use grinders, torches, drills, and other steel fabrication tools
- Rig, move, and position steel safely
- Perform general labor duties as needed to support the crew
- Maintain a clean, safe job site
- Follow all safety procedures and job site rules
- 3–5 years experience in structural steel welding and construction
- Proficient in stick welding (SMAW); MIG experience a plus
- Experience working at heights (lifts, scaffolding, steel structures)
- Comfortable working outdoors in Texas heat, cold, wind, and rain
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Ability to take directions and work as part of a crew
