Job Purpose
To meet and greet customers to the dealership, answer and route incoming calls, take messages. To receive cash from customers and employees in payment for goods and services and record the amount received in an accurate manner and perform additional clerical functions as assigned.
Schedule
Part-time:
Alternating days M-F, hours 4:30 p.m.–8:30 p.m., alternating Saturdays 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. Must be willing and able to work alternating Saturdays and evenings.
Job Duties Meet and greet customers in a professional mannerOperate switchboard telephone systemCommunicate with callers in a professional, friendly and efficient manner, striving to minimize the amount of time spent on holdTake through messages, indicating the caller's first and last name, company name if applicable, the time and the message the caller wishes to leaveProvide basic information to callers who have general inquiriesAssist with filing duties and other administrative tasks as neededPrepare sales and service gas tickets for the Accounting DepartmentAssist the General Manager with various clerical duties as neededAttend meetings and trainings as scheduledPerform other duties as assignedBe friendly, professional, courteous and efficient when working with all customers and employeesDemonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers, co‑workers and suppliersAdhere to all company policies, procedures and safety standardsRefer customers who have additional questions (e.g. questions about their repair order) to the service advisor or other appropriate individualHandle customer complaints with integrity and poise and take or refer the complaining customer to the appropriate individual for further communicationMust follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisorSkills & Qualifications
Demonstrated superior customer service skillsExcellent communication skills and high attention to detailAbility to multi‑task and handle several phone calls at onceJob Requirements
Must have at least a high school diploma/GEDMust be proficient in Microsoft Word and ExcelMust have dealership and/or recent retail receptionist experienceMust be able to work some evenings and weekendsAll applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre‑employment testing to include background checks, drug test, credit report, and valid driver licenseAbility to read and comprehend instructions and informationBasic skills with computer and other office machines (copier, credit card machine, telephone, adding machine) necessary to perform the cashiering/clerical dutiesProfessional personal appearanceAbility to work well with customers and present a friendly, helpful attitude at all timesAll applicants must be authorized to work in the USAAll applicants must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe mannerAll applicants must be able to pass pre‑employment testing to include background checks, drug test, credit report, and valid driver licenseBenefits
