Job Description

Assists the SACC program in all aspects of office manager duties, public relations, and program operation coordination.

Education / Certification
  • High School Diploma and three-years of equivalent experience / Bachelor's Degree, preferred
  • Current CPR and First Aid certificates
Special Knowledge & Skills
  • Proficient in use of technology and various applications
  • Ability to speak clearly and articulately
  • Knowledge of acceptable best practices in after school quality assurance
  • Ability to implement policy and procedures
  • Ability to research, analyze, and interpret data

Experience / Other Requirements
  • Clerical office experience
  • Experience working in an educational environment is preferred
  • Personal cell phone is required to handle district related business, including after hours, or when away from the office on district business
Major Responsibilities and Duties
  • Assists those seeking information regarding SACC programming
  • Assists in preparing and reviewing purchase orders and invoices for supplies and equipment
  • Provide leadership and assistance to SACC leaders in matters to promote staff development
  • Prepares and maintains flyers, social media posts, and public relation materials
  • Maintains department and site inventory and maintenance cycles, including repairs and ordering new equipment/materials
  • Assists SACC staff, families, school staff, and administration in problem solving and conflict resolution
  • Assists the program registrar in school year and summer registrations, managing waitlist, tuition collection
  • Stays informed of best practices in childcare operations
  • Aids in staff recruitment and hiring/onboarding efforts to maintain appropriate staffing
  • Responsible for properly maintaining district records, adhering to all policies set forth by the district for records maintenance and learning the records retention schedule for department records
Policy, Reports, and Law
  • Implement the policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy as applicable
  • Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents as required
Personnel Management
  • Promote collegiality, teamwork, and collaborative decision making among staff
  • Supporting coverage needs on various campuses as necessary
Professional Goals & Growth
  • Expand leadership skills and knowledge base through self-initiated professional development activities
  • Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned
Health & Safety
  • Follow district procedures and best practices to safeguard the health and safety of children in the program, which include but are not limited to hand washing, sanitary measures, playground safety rules, rules regarding the use of supplies and equipment
  • Become knowledgeable of the district’s emergency procedures and ensure proper practices of procedures are conducted on a regular basis or as instructed by the district’s safety team
