Job SummaryTeach and perform the Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Mathematics course/s which you have been appointed to teach for the particular academic semester/term.
Job DescriptionThis is a part-time on-site Adjunct Mathematics Instructor position to teach College Algebra at Howard Payne University, located in New Braunfels, TX. The Adjunct Mathematics Instructor position serves on an as needed basis.
Adjunct instructor responsibilitiesAdjunct instructor responsibilities include on-site instruction (lecture), Brightspace (D2L) course management, and assessing student performance. Instructors are expected to engage with students, support their academic needs, contribute to a positive learning environment, and complete standard academic and student success reporting.
Qualifications- Master’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Education, or a related field is preferred, with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Mathematics completed. Expertise in Mathematics and Mathematics Education.
- Christian with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
- Teaching experience at the college level is a plus
