Piano Music Teacher

Music & Arts is seeking a part-time Piano Music Teacher to provide high-quality private and small-group piano lessons in our retail store. You will develop lesson plans, teach students of all ages and skill levels, and prepare them for recitals, auditions, and school performances. The role includes assessing student progress, communicating with parents, and collaborating with store staff to support enrollment and retention.

You'll promote a positive, inclusive learning environment while representing Music & Arts' mission to advance music education within the local community.

Responsibilities

• Deliver private and small-group piano lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Create and adapt lesson plans aligned with student goals and Music & Arts standards
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback and practice strategies
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school or community performances
• Maintain accurate schedules, attendance, and progress records
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student development
• Collaborate with store staff to support lesson enrollment and retention
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment
• Recommend appropriate instruments, materials, and accessories to support learning
• Uphold Music & Arts policies, safety standards, and student-focused culture
