Maintenance Planner – Cement Manufacturing
Location: New Braunfels, TX
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay Range: $86,000-$110,000 (relocation available)

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to support a large-scale heavy industrial manufacturing facility in New Braunfels, TX.

This role is ideal for someone who understands plant maintenance, preventive and corrective maintenance planning, work order management, shutdown coordination, spare parts, and SAP/CMMS systems.

The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for planning and classifying maintenance work, coordinating labor and materials, preparing job plans, and ensuring maintenance teams have the resources needed to complete work safely and efficiently.

• Review and verify maintenance work requests for accuracy, authorization, priority, and completion dates
• Coordinate with requestors and operations teams to negotiate realistic maintenance timelines when needed
• Estimate labor, spare parts, materials, special tools, safety requirements, and other resources needed to complete maintenance work
• Prepare detailed job plans to support preventive and corrective maintenance activities
• Maintain reference files including equipment specifications, spare parts information, drawings, equipment history, manuals, procedures, forms, and policies
• Work with area coordinators to develop the most cost-effective maintenance plans
• Participate in planning equipment shutdowns for preventive and corrective maintenance
• Help determine critical path, sequence of activities, total shutdown costs, required labor, spare parts, and other resources
• Track outage schedules and costs daily during shutdowns/outages
• Ensure spare parts and maintenance materials are available through the warehouse
• Prepare purchase requisitions as needed for parts, materials, and maintenance support
• Support safety goals, participate in safety meetings, and ensure work is planned in compliance with company, DOT, and OSHA standards
• Help reduce unnecessary administrative work for maintenance crews by ensuring jobs are properly planned before execution

• Minimum 3 years of experience related to preventive and corrective maintenance
• Maintenance planning experience in a heavy industrial, cement, aggregates, mining, manufacturing, chemical, petrochemical, refinery, power generation, or similar plant environment
• Strong understanding of maintenance work orders, spare parts, labor planning, shutdown planning, and equipment maintenance
• SAP experience required
• Microsoft Project 2013 experience preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally with maintenance, operations, warehouse, purchasing, safety, and contractors
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance

• Heavy industrial plant environment
• Exposure to outdoor conditions, heat, cold, noise, and heavy equipment
• PPE required while onsite
• Must be comfortable working around large mobile and fixed plant equipment
