Our client, a local government agency located in New Braunfels, TX is searching for a Treasury Analyst to join the growing organization. The role will focus on cash and investment administration, and organizational dept management. This is a great opportunity to join a high-functioning team with strong leadership. Job Duties:
  • Administer cash, investment and debt management programs to meet organizational needs.
  • Monitor cash and investment positions, and implement plans to meet investment strategies.
  • Stay abreast of the economic climate, including financial market updates, economic data and investment reports.
  • Develop and maintain cash flow models.
  • Obtain quotes for investment purchases, perform calculations and analysis of quoted yields, and transfer funds as necessary to finalize transaction.
  • Monitor and adjust, as necessary, collateral level
  • Manage the debt portfolio, including timely payment of debt obligations and compliance with bond covenants. Maintain and update debt service schedules.
  • Participate in debt planning discussions for upcoming capital projects and assist with updates to bond offering documents and other debt-related materials.
  • Make recommendations for changes and updates to the Investment Policy, Financial Practices & Strategies, and other financial guidance.
  • Serve as the primary contact for investment management, debt management, and related software. Lead system transitions and implementation when necessary.
Education/

Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Minimum of five years' experience in treasury, finance, economics and/or accounting
  • Certification, or seeking certification, such as Certified Public Funds Investment Manager, Certified Treasury Manager, Certified Treasury Professional, or similar program, is preferred.
