Treasury Manager
The Treasury Manager position for Standard Casualty Company assists with STAT and GAAP financial reporting for all invested assets and bank accounts, in addition to providing support for the Statutory accounting team.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain accurate records for all Company held investments, cash, and cash equivalents.
- Oversee preparation of monthly investment and bank reconciliations
- Prepare quarterly and annual Statutory statements for invested assets, cash flow statements, and capital adequacy analyses.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP and Statutory statements.
- Prepare month end reports for Executive Management and parent company.
- Serve as primary banking relationship point of contact and perform system administrator functions for all bank accounts.
- Prepare necessary documents for independent audits as requested.
- Maintain TDI and SOX compliance.
- Any additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required job skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or other business degree related to Investment Management and/or Banking. MBA preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of treasury or accounting experience. Insurance industry experience preferred but not required.
- CTP, CFA, CPA, or other relevant professional designations preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel expertise (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.)
- Excellent communication, active listening, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to exercise independent judgement and decision making with little or no supervision and be flexible and adaptive to changing priorities.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees.
- Able to identify complex problems and issues and develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
