Job Summary

The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy mobile equipment, including front‑end loaders, backhoe loaders, skid‑steer loaders, and haul trucks.

• Perform daily or pre‑shift inspections on vehicles and operate them safely.
• Operate all mobile and heavy‑duty equipment on site, such as dozers, loaders, and haul trucks.
• Keep tools, equipment, and working areas clean, orderly, and safe.
• Comply with company safety rules and regulations.
• Perform related duties such as maintenance/repair and yard loading when needed.
• Understand, interpret, and execute verbal and written instructions.
• Schedule or call for repairs and parts.
• Recognize potentially hazardous situations.
• Adhere to all CEMEX and OSHA rules and regulations at all times.
• Wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds.
• Meet or exceed company safety standards.
• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management.

• Minimum of 2 years experience operating heavy equipment.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a related position.
• Ability to work scheduled shift hours and be flexible with scheduling, overtime, and weekends.

• Read, write, and speak English.
• Bilingual language skills are a plus.

• Continuous exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, and working outdoors.
• Handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Wear protective equipment at the location.

• Perform job functions including walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, climbing, and controlling equipment.
• Exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently.
• Communicate effectively by speaking and hearing while operating equipment.
• Perform sitting, walking, standing, and climbing regularly.
• Perform tasks that may involve repetitive motions and control operations.
