Industrial Painter​/Blaster

Job Description

Industrial Painter/Blasters are responsible for maintaining technical equipment for the job, ensuring that they are in working order and possessing a wide array of painting and blasting tools.

• Review schedule and prioritize daily work to paint and blast to meet customer delivery requirements. Ensure that all safety standards are maintained.
• Review inventory against anticipated workload to maintain adequate stocking levels. Prepare requisitions for restocking and submit to the Manufacturing Manager.
• Design and implement work methods and procedures to increase productivity and improve service.
• Organize and maintain paint booth and blast area to achieve clean and efficient operations. Safely dispose of all waste generated during these processes.
• Responsible for masking units/products, mixing viscosity, spraying, etc.
• Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management.

• Assist Logistics Department as needed.

• High School diploma or equivalent with previous experience in a similar role. Formal training in industrial painting is preferred.
• Specialized knowledge of industrial painting techniques and tools, painting with inorganic zinc-based paints, water-based zinc paints and epoxy.
• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
• Must have good organizational and communication skills and ability to work well with external and internal customers.
• Able to read and interpret drawings and follow work instructions.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; use basic hand‑held measuring tools.
• Related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
